The festival of “Basant Panchmi” is celebrated on the fifth day (Panchami) of the Hindu month of Magha. It is an occasion which marks the arrival of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom.To celebrate this auspicious day and to seek the divine blessings , a havan was organised and teachers along with the students of standard IV performed the havan. A special assembly was conducted and the students of classes IV to VII became part of the grand show put up by the Courge House of our school. Through various programmes like dance,song etc ,students explained the importance of this day and its association with the yellow colour, the blooming of mustard flowers and the arrival of spring season.Apart from these, numerous other activities were also organized in the respective classes. The students of classes IV and V had a great time relishing their yellow home made dishes.Rangoli making activity conducted in classes VI and VII too added to the vibrant colour of the spring season .In a nut shell,all the students participated in all the activities with great zeal and enthusiasm.The school Principal, Mrs. Gargi Chhabra conveyed special wishes to the students and the parents on the auspicious occasion.
