D.A.V. Public School, Kailash Hills successfully organized the Book Fest 2026, “BOOKISTA”, in collaboration with Scholastic India.The event was held on 18, 19, and 20 May 2025.The event was inaugurated by our respected Principal Ma’am, Ms. Monika Paliwal. She inspired and motivated the students to develop reading habits and actively participate in the fest. This Book Fest became one of the memorable achievements in the history of Kailash Hills.One of the main attractions of the fest was the Titanic-themed Photo Booth, inspired by the Scholastic Titanic book collection. Various fun activities like Spin the Wheel, interactive games, and the Wall of Thoughts added excitement to the event.The mascot “Geronimo Stilton” was also a major attraction and was loved by everyone.The event truly celebrated the joy of reading, creativity, and learning. Students, parents, and teachers enthusiastically participated in the event. With the support of the Scholastic Internship Program students, the event was conducted successfully

D.A.V. Public School, Kailash Hills celebrated World Book Day with great enthusiasm, spreading the joy and magic of reading among students. A variety of engaging and creative activities were organized for different classes. For the youngest learners, Class LKG explored the theme “The Magic of Reading,” while Class UKG enjoyed an Alice in Wonderland coloring worksheet. Students of Class 1 participated in bookmark making, Class 2 designed their favourite book covers, and Class 3 completed a “My Favourite Book Character” worksheet. Students of Classes 4 and 5 participated in drawing and colouring their favourite story characters, while Classes 6 and 7 created posters on the theme “Importance of Reading.” Class 8 students expressed their thoughts by writing about their favourite authors, and students from Classes 9 to 12 took part in a DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) session. The event witnessed active participation, creativity, and excitement from all students, making it a grand success. These activities inspired students to explore the wonderful world of books and helped foster a lifelong love for reading, reminding everyone that books truly are our best friends that open doors to imagination, knowledge, and creativity.
The Good Reading Habit Challenge was an inspiring initiative organised by the Library of D.A.V. Public School, Kailash Hills that encouraged students to develop a regular reading routine and nurture a love for books. Reading not only enhanced knowledge but also enriched vocabulary, boosted imagination, and shaped overall personality. Many students participated in this program with great enthusiasm.The program was divided into categories based on classes. For Classes IV to IX, students earned Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals based on the number of pages they read and their performance in the interview.Overall, the challenge motivated students to read consistently, develop responsibility, and gain knowledge while enjoying the wonderful habit of reading.
