AAHAN ANNUAL FUNCTION REPORT

DAV Public School, Kailash Hills commemorated its Annual Day- AAHAN, and Prize Distribution Ceremony with immense enthusiasm and grandeur on Friday, 13th December 2024. The esteemed Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms Shikha Rai- MCD Councillor, Greater Kailash. Adding to the event’s prestige, the School Chairman - Sh. Ajay Sehgal, the Vice Chairman- Dr. M.M. Goyal, the Manager - Mrs. Anita Wadehra, former School principal -Mrs Ira Khanna, principals from other DAV institutions, retired faculty members, Rotarians from the Rotary Club, Delhi, distinguished alumni, and RWA members from East of Kailash and Kailash Hills also graced the occasion.
The Chief Guest and dignitaries were accorded a warm and innovative welcome by the students and staff. The program commenced at 10:30 am with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing divine blessings, followed by an inspiring address by the School Principal. In her speech, she presented a detailed Annual Report for the academic year 2024-25, highlighting the institution’s achievements and milestones. A proud moment of the event was the release of the school magazine- Confluence 2024, showcasing the creativity, achievements, and literary talents of the students and staff.
The event also featured the Rhythms of India- a folk dance show, highlighting the traditions, culture, and beauty of different states. Through vibrant performances and diverse styles, students showcased India's unity in diversity, leaving the audience enthralled by the rich cultural heritage of the country.
A theatrical rendition of The Merchant of Venice - a timeless Shakespearean play, captivated the audience and showcased the extraordinary talent of the students. It was met with a thunderous applause and admiration.
To honor outstanding performances in academics, sports, and cultural endeavors, achievers were awarded cash prizes generously sponsored by the Rotary Club.
The Chief Guest’s vibrant and motivational speech left an indelible impression on the audience, inspiring students, parents, and staff alike. Parents also shared their encouraging feedback, emphasizing the importance of organising such events and their positive impact on the students' growth.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Principal, who expressed deep gratitude to everyone involved in making the occasion a huge success.
With over 400 students participating and an audience of more than 700 parents and guests showering words of appreciation, the event was a terrific triumph.
